On Thursday 12th February, we went to the Community Hall in Newmarket for a morning of sports training. We played basketball, tennis and hurling. We practiced our passing, catching, agility, cooperation and coordination skills. We had lunch in the playground at O'Regan park and then spent in the library in Newmarket. We are preparing for the Marian Keane basketball tournament and Cumann na mbunscol hurling matches. We also learned how to use the library as a resource for project research.
The children were delighted to receive a visit from the County Champions, Newmarket Minor Hurling Team, last October. Well done to the lads on their success, winning the Minor B Trophy! We hope that, with dedication and training, we'll be as good as you someday!
